The ground was like paper.

It was as if one could have written an entire life onto the ground for all to see. It curled up as if burned under the desert sun, fell flat beneath our feet with a satisfying crunch that let us know we had been there first.

The art (most of it anyways) on the walls in these photos was created by artists other than myself.

And with each satisfying crunch we approached a world of human creation, our creation, where we could enjoy the beauty that is our minds, our hands... right there... in front of us... More satisfying, maybe, then paper under pen, our cement canvas echoed with paper under our feet...

Photo 1- Camera angle does a wonderful job of depicting the ground you were walking on. The only thing that draws away a little in a bigger view of the picture is that there is a small area of focus while a majority is blurred. Overall though, the photo captures a nice emotion of the scene.

Photo 2-This photo has a somewhat lonely sense about itself. It captures an idea of life being lonely and barren at times. But it's a beautiful idea to be able to capture such an emotion.

Photo 3- The use of the scenery in the foreground with the words in the background is amazing. It gives a little bit of a tragic irony to our government. With their worry about the art that some people place on a public wall and the lack of a worry about the litter and destruction of other forms in the same place.

Photo 4- The placement of the subject to the text is ideal. The posture the subject has really adds to the idea of a lonely person just wanting to love somebody. It captures the feeling in the hearts of so many young people that they just want to be able to love someone.
