Commit to Memory: Introduction

I'm starting a personal project. I'll be revisiting memories that have impacted me during my stay here at the University of Nevada. Each post will talk about a different memory. I hope it will ease in the process of leaving this place.

More innocent times.

My best friend Gabriel and I visited our old elementary school tonight. Doris Hancock Elementary. It's surreal. Memories come in flashes. Smells send you reeling. The texture of trees make you feel younger. How much has changed versus how much is the same. One big metaphor for my own self. Gabe and I used to walk back and forth beneath these trees talking during the lunch break. We were outcasts.
